Promotion of Women Entrepreneurs for Economic Empowerment Project (3rd Phase)
Promoting Women’s Economic Empowerment is realized as one of the most important driving forces behind reducing poverty and aiding economic growth. Sometimes, women are paid less for their work and see fewer benefits of their labour. Discrimination and extra household responsibilities reduce their access to decent work, capital and time needed to improve their businesses, relative to men. WEDO in corporation with Jatiyo Mohila Sangstha (National Women Organization), Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Bangladesh Government is implementing the project to promote women’s economic empowerment in Bangladesh. The project is being implemented in 30 selected upazilas in Bangladesh.
Scope of Services of the project:
- Provide training on Business Management to 900 batches of women (25 per batch) participants in 30 training centers in 30 upazilas/district of Bangladesh.

- Provide training on Beautification to 600 batches of women participants women (25 per batch) in 30 training centers in 30 upazilas/district of Bangladesh
Number of Total Participants: 15,000
- Provide training on Bee and Mashroom cultivation to 600 batches of women participants (25 per batch) in 30 training centers in 30 upazilas/district of Bangladesh

- Provide training on Fashion Design to 600 batches of women participants (25 per batch) in 30 training centers in 30 upazilas/district of Bangladesh
