Women's economic empowerment is one of the most important driving forces behind reducing poverty and aiding economic growth. Yet women are paid less for their work and see fewer benefits of their labour, while discrimination and household responsibilities limit their access to decent employment and capital. WEDO delivers vocational and enterprise training across 30 centres to help women build income, confidence and independent businesses.
