Women’s Environment and Development Organization (WEDO) is a non-governmental, non-political social development and research organization, has been working in the field of development and research for over a decade in Bangladesh. WEDO supports people, especially women and children, living in poverty to improve their livelihoods and to make them self-dependent at the same time as safeguarding the environment. Since its inception in 1997, it has been working to create scope, to overcome the social and economic crisis and to improve standard of living for the vulnerable poor and pro-poor people and an assured future for their next generation through institution building, Training, education program, awareness raising, research and communication for development.
